GROOVEDESIGN KOLLECTIVE

UNITED TRIBES EP

Groovedesign Kollective returns to vinyl with United Tribes EP, a two-track release exploring the enduring relationship between House music, Disco, Funk and Soul, connecting the foundations of club culture with contemporary production.

Across two distinct but complementary compositions, the EP draws on the musical heritage of the dancefloor while maintaining the Kollective's characteristic emphasis on groove, depth and extended arrangements.

A. UNITED TRIBES

United Tribes brings together tribal percussion, Afro-House vocal influences and classic House piano riffs, anchored by contemporary, evolving basslines.

Its extended arrangement unfolds progressively, allowing individual rhythmic and melodic elements to develop, interact and transform. Disco, Soul and Funk influences emerge throughout, enriching the composition without interrupting its underlying rhythmic momentum.

Emotionally charged and deliberately expansive, United Tribes moves between percussive intensity, melodic warmth and moments of release, drawing on the communal energy and musical traditions that have shaped House culture across generations.

B. SUPREMES

Supremes explores a different side of the Kollective: sophisticated, nocturnal and deeply rooted in the musical heritage of the 1970s.

Drawing inspiration from Motown, classic Disco, Funk and Soul, the track evokes the elegance and atmosphere of late-night club culture, where musical sophistication and dancefloor instinct coexist.

Its character is distinctly after-hours: warm, assured and unhurried, with a groove that favours fluidity and understated movement over overt intensity.

Supremes connects the glamour and musical richness of the seventies with the sensibility of contemporary underground House, celebrating a tradition in which nightlife, music and style have always been inseparable.
